Senior Accountant

• $70,000-$90,000 based on experience

About the Position 

The Senior Accountant reports to to the Chief Operating Officer and is an important member of Rimland's Finance team. You will be responsible for the daily activities in the accounting department, including analyzing and preparing journal entries and account reconciliations. Some of your responsibilities include: 

• Prepare, record and track journal entries/ general ledger reconciliations such as bank, loans, and credit cards
• Complete the entire process of preparing the bi-weekly payroll for 100 plus employees through the Paychex Flex payroll service. This includes processing new hires, monitoring and assisting with their clock-in and out via mobile app, and correcting timesheets
• Provide data to external auditors for the annual audit.
• Manage Accounts Payable to ensure vendor invoices are properly classified and vendors are paid on time
• Reconcile client entitlements on a monthly basis, including SSA and SSI
• Performs tasks in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

What Makes You A Great Fit

• B.S. in Accounting, Finance or related field. Equivalent experience also accepted
• 3 - 5 years of increasingly responsible accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Preferred: Quickbooks Online and Microsoft Office 365 experience 
• Preferred: Non-Profit Accounting experience 

Location & Schedule 

• Location: Des Plaines, IL 
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00PM
